I've lost 78 lbs. and it seems to be slowing down, but I know I'm going to keep on losing. I drink a 66g protein drink everyday, which helps. I use Crystal Lite Sunrise - 8 oz. with 1 scoop of EAS Advantage Protein Whey Vanilla Powder (actually use the same type of powder from Costco). I add a little cranberry juice and some tea. I do three scoops and about 16-20 oz of Crystal Lite with the other fluids to fill up my big water-type bottle. I love this stuff! Susie 235/157 and losing s-l-o-w-l-y!!

Same here ... surgery 3-30-05 ... have been stuck for about 4 ... almost 5 weeks. I worry I'm eating too much. Nutritionist said to make sure portions are no more than 1/2 cup, push the water and move. Well, duh! I thought that was what I HAD been doing! So I'm stuck too wondering what else I can do. Myra

Lori, This is just a suggestion. Try going back to liquids for 3 days (make sure you drink your protein drinks during these 3 days) Then progress to soft foods for another 3 days. I did this once and it jump started my weight loss. But everyone is different so I hope that it helps, but can't guarantee it. By the way... your doing great. Your Journey hasn't ended yet. Take Care. Amy

Hi Lori, I had the same problem about 2 months ago. I hit the 4 month mark and was down 65 lbs and sat there for 5 weeks. Didn't matter what I did it didn't help. All of a sudden I dropped 10 lbs in 4 days. Baically I am in the same place again. The losses are much slower but I am not at a complete stand still again. Have lost 86lbs in 6 months. Hang in there everyone! Our ride isn't over. Check your measurements because I found that I dropped a bunch of inches when my weight was standing still. Smiles, Roxi

Wow I am amazed to hear that I am not the only one going through this. I had my surgery on 3/8/05 and I've lost 117lbs as of now, but for the last month I've lost NOTHING. I don't know if I am losing inches but its driving me nuts to not be losing anymore. My doctor said that it is normal to have months where you lose nothing, that you'll be losing inches then. The liquid and soft food things sounds like a really good idea! I might try that actually. I could handle to lose some weight again its frustrating to be stuck and a week of liquids would not kill me.

As with everyone else replying I am in a slump too. I haven't lost for almost two weeks. I was a open distal rny. I have lost 117 lbs. in six months. I knew it would slow down but part of me is in a panic. I like the idea of going back to liquids for a few days and walking more to kick start the bod again. I hope it works. I know I'm supposed to exercise more but going from barely able to walk a few feet to walking anywhere I want to go, for as long as I want to go, is quite an improvement. I will take on running and organized workouts later. Much later. I hate organized anything physical. Maybe I will get over that someday. but I digress. My point is you are not alone. I understand there will be plateaus. We will get thru them together. Just think about everything we have gained in our lives so far. I have actually reached the goals I had set for myself. Better health, better movement, I CAN PLAY WITH MY GRANDCHILDREN! I can get off the floor, without a crane. I can clean my house and go shopping. I can do more than hold down my recliner at night. I bet you can too if you think about it. Do what you can to kick start yoursef and the weight loss but don't forget what you've gained by being a big loser. Yeah us!!!! Carolyn
