what is everyone eating????
Just curious what everyone is eating now.Can u give me a daily break down of what u are eating, just not sure if i'm eating too much or not enough. Was anyone told how many calories we should be consuming right now? My weight loss has slowed way down, but im wondering if i'm not getting in enough calories,i think i average about 800-1000 calories a day.

Hi Rechelle....
My weight loss had slowed way down also and as it turns out I wasn't eating enough. I had my 6 month check up last week and my nutritionist told me I needed to up my calories to 1000 a day. I did that and I've dropped 4 lbs in 5 days......finally! Last month I only lost 6 lbs for the entire month and I was eating 600-800 calories a day. I eat mostly lean meats and cheese. My nutritionist said we should eat some good carbs like whole wheat bread because it helps control your hormones and gives you fiber and energy. I am also supposed to have a serving of fruit every day and some vegetables. I don't eat sugar or "white" carbs. I hope this helps. I drink 5 17 oz bottles of water a day and go to the gym 3-4 times a week. My one indulgence is that I have to have a cup of coffee to wake up in the morning..... with caffiene My nut told me its okay because the rest of my diet was good... phew! I can't function without it. Scarlette
Hi! Lets see, I'll run down what I ate today:
B- 1 oz beef jerky & 1 string cheese
S- 1 string cheese
L- Quesadilla I made at home, 2 low carb wheat tortilla shells, 2 slices ham, 2 slices of turkey and 1 slice of cheese
S- 1 string cheeses, granola bar
D- 1/4 # of hamburger w/2 slices melted cheese
S- power crunch bar
and a few sugar free popsicles thrown in.
My calories are generally around 900-1000, though sometimes too close to 800. I have my 6 mth check up next week, so we will se what they have to say.
HTH!

Wow! Thank you for this post. I went to see my doc for my 6 month check up but could afford to see the nutritionist, too. (As of last month I have no insurance).
I am really struggling with protein because it doesn't take long before a protein shake I liked (or could tolerate) starts to gag me.
I had one pack of plain oatmeal(1/2 cup)-the instant kind-at breakfast with a little splenda.
I had a cafe caramel protein shake for snack-well a little more than half of it.
I had a half cup, maybe a little more of homemade chicken and dumpling soup at lunch-no, I didn't eat the dumplings.
I had 3 of those cheese/p.butter crackers for snack and for dinner...
I will have beef stew-which for me will consist of one baby carrot, one bite of potato and some stew meat. My final snack will probably be about an ounce of pepper jack cheese.
Other than that, I haven't really tried bread since my unfortunate incident a few months ago. I can't tolerate noodles too well, rice doesn't bother me tho. My fruit intake consists mostly of bananas or tomatoes. The only veggie I can't seem to deal with is broccoli. I still can't handle tortilla shells-only the middle of burritos for me. And the other day, well I guess I lost my mind, but I learned that a frozen pumpkin spice mocha from Gloria Jeans coffee at the mall is completely out of the question. (DH was a happy camper tho, he sucked that bad boy right down while I was trying to regain feeling in my upper lip).
