Poll: Let's Roll!
My Fellow Marchers!
Almost all of us have completed 6 months now. Is it what you'd thought it would be? Has it meet your expecations? Are you still on a weight loss roll?
Me personally, I would say it has surpassed my expectations! Who would have "thunk" it that I would be wearing size 6/8 clothes right now after wearing 18's. I am so close to victory I can almost, dare I say "taste it"! LOL The compliments are coming at me all the time now. Some have even said they didn't recognize me at first. Yippee! I am still on a weight loss roll thank God. I need to loose about 20 more pounds and then I am done. Hang in there with me everyone. Some of us are closer then others but we are all here tosupport one another no matter how long it takes! So. . . . . . .Lets roll!

This surgery is more then I can put into words.I started at 355 and a few days I will be at 7mo and I'm down to 225.I can't remember the last time I was 225.The one thing I see the most of is people are nicer to me now and that's so very sad.I am in size 12/14 I keep going to the big size in the store's and then I think oh they are to big for me now .... Got to love this surgery.Best of luck to you.I am still taking the pounds off..

6 months out and down from a 20W to a 10! Some of my 10's are starting to hang down onto my...didn't know I had them...hip bones! This surgery is a miracle. Tonight I ran with my 4 year old stepson and it felt GOOD! If I get to a 6 or an 8 that would be fantastic...at this point I am afraid of asking for too much. I am rarely hungry, and always feel fantastic.

Hi everyone :hello:
I have lost 90lbs as of this morning and I am so grateful for this surgery. I feel like I have my life back again. I have lupus and had high blood pressure, but now my blood pressure is normal and I've gone off all my meds for lupus except two.... I have so much energy I am bouncing off the walls. My only regret is that I didn't have it sooner. I'm just starting to get into 14's..... I have never been a size 14 in my entire adult life. Its great that we all have each other to encourage and support each other. Scarlette
It's a slow roll but a roll none the less. This experience has surpassed my wildest dreams. I'm down 81 lbs since surgery, 96 all toll since my starting point with the surgeon. So far have gone from a size 24 to a 16 (with no butt anymore pants are a little baggy in the back). I still have 36 lbs to my surgeons goal and 41 to my personal goal.
I have a much better outlook on life, my self-esteem has skyrocketed, and my self worth is better than it has ever been. Not to mention that my health is better than it's been in over 20 years.
Would I do it again? In a heartbeat! Would I recommend it to anyone who needs it? Definitely!

It will be 6 months tomorrow for me. It has been amazing. My knees don't hurt any more. I'm not snoring at night, which, I suppose, means I don't have sleep apnea. I'm only getting up once a night instead of every hour, so I am sleeping better. I have gone from wearing 3X uniform pants to wearing an L. People who haven't seen me in a while don't recognize me anymore. Despite the fact I regretted it for the first week or so, I am so happy I had the surgery!
My weight loss has really slowed down this month, but I don't care. I am happy where I am. And it's so much better to be able to say I am 30 pounds overweight than 120 overweight!!!

I'm very happy with my progress so far. I'm six months out, down 106 lbs, and I am feeling better about myself inside and out. I still have about 90 lbs to go to meet surgeon's goal for me. But my life has changed in so many ways from where I was pre-op. I am leading the Phoenix Obesityhelp chapter weight loss surgery support group. I participated in my first ever walk-a-thon Saturday (Walk from Obesity). I have a new job, new car, new clothes, etc. God has blessed me immensely in so many ways this year. He's amazing.
