Went Fall/Winter Clothes Shopping!!!!
Hi All,
I was so excited yesterday. My 16 yr old daughter and I went out to an early bird sale at Kohl's. I went shopping for some much needed fall/winter clothes. A month ago cleaned out my closet and drawers of all my old clothes. I placed a huge lawn & leaf bag into good will box, which left me with nothing. It was habitual to go to the plus size section, but quickly realized I had already dropped down to the regular womens dept. I kept picking up larges in all the tops. When I tried them on,they were swimming on me. I had to get all medium tops. I knew I was in size 16 pants in the middle of the summer which are big on me. I tried on the 14's to find they were also big on me. I am in a size 12, moving down to a 10!!!! I have never, ever been below a 14 since I was a teenager. My daughter was having fun picking out things for me. I thought she wanted them for her, but said "no mom it is for you." I still look at things on hangers in the small sizes and can't grasp that I am in that size. I could have went crazy with all the nice things I can wear now, but had to refrain from over buying with knowing I am not at goal yet. So I only bought 3 pairs of pants with 5 tops to mix and match and 2 casual sets in a velour material and sweatsuit material in a medium. I also had to buy smaller bra's and underwear. Sorry so long, just so excited!!! Last I weighed myself was a month ago which i was at a 75lb loss. I know I dropped more and will weigh in on Tues. I think I am at about 90 lbs now.

Lynn,
I hear you! All of my credit cards are maxed out! I live at Kohl's and just about every clothing store these days. I went from an 18/20 to a 6/8 in less then 6 months! Go figure! ( no pun intended, LOL) I haven't been this weight in a long time. I hardly think about food anymore> Instead just like you I think about where I am going to shop next! Aren't we having a blast!

Doesn't just give you goose bumps!!!!!!!!!! It was so hard for me to give away my nicer outfits to a "large" friend.....you know the yo-yo syndrome we've all been plagued with all of our lifes. I'm taking down all of my 22 and 24 blue jeans, shirts & coats to the Salvation Army. I economized with my shopping and shopped at the "Goodwill store". It supports a noble cause and I get new "clothes" at a bargain!
I'm wearing my husband's blue jeans!!!!!!! Mine fell off of me last week. I've gone from 242 to 174. MY bra went from a 42 -44D to a 36C and I broke down and got me some nice Bali bras & matching panties! Only 68 pounds but gosh, I'm loving every pound even if I'm at a plateau. I got an exercise bike last week and now up to 10 minutes @ 20 -25 miles per hour. Pre surgery, I could hardly do 5 @ 10 mph.
My energy level is out the roof and it's hard to adjust to not wanting to sleep all the time. It's startlingly to have my husband complimenting me...the gad never did when I was fat unless I prodded him. I got even the other day by getting the last clean pair of his blue jeans!
What's even nicer, is a man was actually flirting with me the other day! Talk about an ego boost!

Congrats!!! That is awesome!!! I bet you look even smaller now in clothes that actually fit. (Baggy clothes make us look bigger.) Sounds like you got some great deals and what a historic shopping trip! Wow! I can't wait for that to happen to me. Thanks for posting this!! Very motivating!!!
