Extreme Hunger and Gall Bladder???

Okay, it has been confirmed that I have gallstones and sludge in my poor little gall bladder. I go in for surgery on the 8th of September (Thank Goodness, I am about ready to rip the sucker out myself)...Lately I have been extremely hungry - but I am not sure it is real hunger...an intense, gnawing pain - I never feel satisfied, always feel hungry...Is this gnawing due to my gall bladder??? I hope so - if it is, I am going to lose weight for sure after surgery due to not feeling this "hunger pain" that never goes away... Gnaw..Gnaw...Gnaw... Jennifer 232/160/120

Ok... stupid question.... how do you know you have gall stones (and sludge)? Is it horrible pain? Where? All the time or just on and off? In the same place... just wondering. Sometimes I feel some small pain in the area I think the gall bladder is but it goes away and is not that bad and not often. Also feel the same pain in other places.... gas?? Thanks... kathy

Kathy, My attacks have been horrible pain. The pain is usually right under my ribs in the middle (sometimes a little on the right side). It usually happens right after I eat and feels like labor. The pain is why I called my surgeon, he ordered an ultrasound of the gall bladder, and they saw the gallstones and sludge with the ultrasound. Hope that helps! Jennifer

I cannot say if it is your gall bladder, but I am very hungry. I had my gall bladder our years ago. It is probably head hunger, but I am not controlling it at all. I am concerned. Cheri
