Finally down fifty pounds!
Hi Jan,
I gained 1 lb prior to surgery and to date have lost 91 lbs. I am really bad because I don't exercise at all. Are you getting enough protein in? I know once I started stating in more protein via protein powder my weight started coming off again. I still think your weight loss is awesome and don't feel like it isn't. Look at a lb of butter and just think of all those lbs of butter that are no longer on your 'butter'
Good luck!

Jan,
Congratulations on your weight loss! 50 pounds gone is 50 pounds gone, When you look back on this in a year or two, a few months isn't going to make a difference.
Our stories are so close. I started at 285 and the day of my surgery, I weighed 261. I am also a slow loser. I just got off a 2week plateau where I sat at 205. Just yesterday I finally made it to the onderfuls. Today I weighed in at 198.
I sometimes get discouraged when I see others post their 100+ weight loss. I know I will eventually get there, so I'm happy. I know that I couldn't have ever gotten this far without the surgery.
Good luck to you and keep up the good work,
Suzanne
50 lbs in 5 months is NOT slow!! I know - some people on here are losing gangbusters!! But don't compare yourself to others. You are losing at a very good and healthy pace. It's not slow at all!! At least you are losing! 50 lbs is GREAT!! I remember when I hit 50 lbs gone - it's like one hurdle and goal that I accomplished!!! You'll be under 200 very soon!! Hang in there. You are doing great!!!
