OK folks, I've looked forward to being 100 lbs less since surgery (or before) and I'm almost there. I had stalled big time for the past 6 weeks and have suddenly dropped 5 lbs for no reason. (Haven't done anything differently). So, I'm thinking it's going to happen and happen soon. I feel like a kid in the candy shop. But I can't eat candy!!! LOL So, what should I do to celebrate besides eat? I just bought new jeans. I'm almost cute again. Maybe I'll treat myself to a movie, but I know I'll want some popcorn. Guess a little can't hurt. I have been eating popcorn since almost the beginning. I had a dumping experience yesterday that was somewhat unpleasant. I dumped on something I'd eaten several times before with no problem. Weird, huh? I got a little dizzy, felt a little hot, had to lie down, and then had diarehhia a few hours later. I had eaten some carb control cho**** cream with sugar free syrup on top. Usually I put some banana on it, but didn't have any this time. Maybe the banana helped my system tolerate the sugar alcohols. I'm afraid to try it again to find out, but that was really miserable. I think I'm going to have to try it anyway to find out. I've had some minor problems with lactose intolerance, mostly with milk and cereal. Wish me luck on the last 5 lbs. I do not want it to take another 6 weeks! the last 5 lbs= Hugggs, Heidi

Hello to my Surgery Date Sister! First let me say...WOW! And well done! You are sooooooo close to the CC, *I* can taste it. Heh! I have had the same thing happen to me with various foods, fine for awhile and suddenly do not go down well at all. This has even happened to me with WATER. I lived on icy cold water for my first several weeks post-op, then one morning, took a nice big sip, and BAM I had the heaves for an hour. For the next several weeks, I could NOT tolerate icy cold liquids whatsoever, room temp only. Got over that just in time for the heat of summer. Whew! I'm sipping an icy smoothie as I type. I know you will come right back here and let us know when that last 5 pounds takes its leave! Hugs, Kat C

How's my surgery date sister? Thanks for the comps! That's funny about the cold water. At first, I could only drink warm drinks. Cold was so hard on my pouch. I like it now, but I remember missing not being able to cool myself off with a nice cold drink! Heidi

Heidi, I just knew when it started happening for both of us it would go in a gush! Yay!!! Way to go!! Your dump sounds pretty miserable ... and why is that this sometimes happens with things we've been able to tolerate previously? Guess that's one of those questions that won't have an answer, right? I'll get out my Pound-Zapper ray-gun, too, and help you blast off those 5 lbs... Myra

Oh Heidi... You are so so close and I can not wait for you to get there!!! I bet it will melt of now and I can wait to read the post that says you are there!!! I have had that experience too with the dumping. It is weird. I find that I can not tolerate anything with milk which stinks because I miss milk so much!! I will be checking often to see when you make it!!!! Hugs, Michelle www.active.com/donate/tntwpawv/michelleuschock

I'm not tolerating milk either. It makes my intestines noisy. LOL. I'm still stuck at -95. Thinking it's going to take a few weeks to get there. I'm having to learn about patience. And I am one of the most patient people in the world when it comes to teaching! Hugs, Heidi

I had the same dumping experience with carb control ice cream, how weird! I ate it a couple of times with no problems, but the 3rd time must have been the charm. I can only guess that maybe I ate it a little faster than the other times. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be in the century club in no time!! Michelle

How weird! I'm not sure I want to try it again, so am contemplating throwing it away. I also can't eat breakfast cereal with milk either. I'm thinking I'm going to find out I'm lactose intolerant. I haven't had yogurt or cottage cheese for awhile. I'm OK with cheese. Who knows. Heidi

I'm in the same boat you are kind of. I have already made the century club but I too am 5 lbs away from being in the 200s. A place I haven't been in a very long time at least 8 years and a place I fondly remember vowing to never get above. Well we know that didnt happen. Any how good luck on your soon to be goal met. Take care and we'll both have to post when this happens. We can make it like a race. I love competition. It's just in my nature. I HATE PLATEAUS!!!
