Realizing how far I've come!!
A woman that is one-month post-op e-mailed me tonight asking how much weight I've lost each month since surgery, and I went back in Fitday and was e-mailing her back and I realized - wow - I've been steadily losing this whole time. And I measured myself tonight and I've lost some major inches and people are noticing weight loss more now - isn't that weird how compliments pour in when you are in a stall?? LOL Anyway, here's the breakdown of how much I have lost each month so far, and then I also put how many inches I've lost so far.
Typing this out amazed me because I didn't really realize how far I have come since March. I mean, I did, but it's different for some reason typing/writing it out.
1st month - 32 lbs lost
2nd month - 18 lbs lost
3rd month - 16 lbs lost
4th month - 16 lbs lost
5th month - 7 lbs lost
Total so far - 89 lbs lost
Here I thought I was "stuck". LOL When I look at the WHOLE PICTURE it helps!! I'm like wow!!
Okay, so here's my inches lost.
Waist - 7 inches
Hips - 7 inches (approx - never sure if I'm measuring in same place each time)
Bust - 8 inches
Calf - 1.75 inches
Upper arms - 0.75 inches
Neck - 1.5 inches
Wrists - 0.25 inches
Cap - 0.5 (where baseball caps base goes around)
Shoulder-to-Shoulder (front) - 2.5 inches
Ankles - 0.5 inches
Started at size 4X - 30/32
Now in 1X (18/20) pants/skirts and 2X (22/24) shirts/dresses
Wore size (tight) 28 bathing suit at beginning of summer, now in a size 18/20.
I still have 107 more pounds to go to reach surgeon's goal and a 127 more pounds to go to reach my goal.
I feel so much more motivated and inspired now and it came from within.
Looking back and charting my success I'm like OMG! What a difference 5 months make!! I've never lost 89 lbs before in my LIFE! That in an of itself is an achievement.
Golly, gee, I'm so excited!! I feel like running out in the streets exclaiming my joy! LOL All of a sudden it HIT me. just had to share!!

I agree with you. This month, I have felt stalled (it was a relief to see that others with my surgery month felt the same) but when I looked at my progress on the calendar, I realized that I was just impatient. Anytime I went a week without losing weight, I would feel so upset. However, I have lost a total of 90 lbs, and actually made it to 198 today. What a great feeling. In March, I couldn't imagine this happening.
