Is it me or does anyone feel that eating it a task. I never know what to eat, i am losing my hair. I have loss close to 70 pounds since 3/21/05 when i had wls. but what makes it worst is that the scale has not moved. i only eat maybe 2 - 3 times a day if that and when i do i feel guilty. i am so confused. I do love this web sight, becuase i can always find one or more people going throught the exact same thing. help.... someone tell me how i can get out of this rut...

I'm in a rut, too. I don't know how long I've been at an 85 lb loss since 3/28. I've found that if I eat more, I lose more, so I'm just eating healthy. I know I need to exercise, but I am so busy, that it's hard to convince myself that I need it. Good luck, Heidi

Seems to be the "Marchers" time for a little rut. I think everyone has noticed a slowing in the weightloss. This too shall pass....Keep on doing what you are doing and I bet things will improve. I went through this too...keep your chin up...Blessings for continued success and sanity in the craziness.

I have been in a rut too! I almost felt like I was eating too much. I have read so much about upping protien. So I have been very consious about this lately and drinking more protien shakes. I did finally lose 2 lbs this week. When I dont have any protien drinks I realize how little protien I dont get!! I also have gotten more comments lately about my weight loss. I think we lose inches even if the scales arent moving! We just have to keep thinking positive and know this too shall pass! Hundreds of successful people will tell you that! Ive talked to quite a few people that are a year or better out and they too went thru the same thing...weight freezes, hair loss, afraid this is where they were gonna be stuck...but lo and behold..they are now skinny!!! Keep our chins up and we too will be BIG LOSERS!! Patti

Hmm, everytime my loss slows down, I up my water and protein and it seems to help a lot. Though I do spend a lot of time in the bathroom. ;) Seriously, if it's really warm where you are, your body maybe holding water because of the heat. Drinking more will help it let go. I too hit a stall for almost a month then I upped the protein and the water and started eating snacks and bam! I started losing again. Now since it is almost that time of month I want everything sweet and salty! So of course I stalled again (dang aunt flo!) and I see the scale moving up again so what is a girl to do? I keep up the protein and water etc... and of course the exercise I keep varying that so my body never knows what kind of exercise I am going to do. (trainer says this is key since the body learns the routine or circuit ,as she says, and then will just maintain not lose more). Who knows? I don't I just keep plugging alone and my body will know when to let go of more weight.

I hear ya girl....I've been in a rut myself and losing my hair like I have cancer or something. I'm bald in some places. I tried to eat some tropical trail mix. You know with dried fruit and nuts but I gained 2 lbs and said nuts to that so now I don't eat that anymore and it was good. I still have a very difficult time eating meat and eggs. My main source or protein is cheese, yogurt, and deli meat. I wish there was something else I could eat without getting sick. I tried chinese food last week and boy was that a mistake. I love this board though. At least I know my peers are going through some of the same things I am and I'm not alone. I just say to myself, and this too shall pass. Deborah W. 298/218/170
