Wow Moment !!!

I went shopping with my mother-in-law on Wednesday and got some new clothes AT THE MALL.... I am wearing a pair of my new capri pants today and just realized that this is the 1st time in more than 10 years that I have worn a pair of pants with NO ELASTIC !!!!! none at all. These pants have a zipper and a button. And they are a size 22. I started at a 32 so that means that in 4 short months I have lost 69 pounds and gone down 5 sizes (is that how I count them ??? 32 30 28 26 24 22 ???) or is that 6?? Anyway no elastic and they fit comfortably and with no binding or pinching and I am so happy- and I am only 5 pounds from my next goal of 250!!!!! I am so happy that I had this surgery and am following the plan !!! Terri

Way to go Terri! Haven't been brave enough to try the "no elastic" route yet, but can't wait for it to happen. Enjoy this moment. Bigger and better ones are right around the corner. Best of luck and keep up the good work. TraciL

Traci L, I don't think I even realized it. I was with MIL and she was picking out stuff and bringing them too me and they fit so we bought them. I put them on today and that is when I realized there is not any elastic. I got some others that zip and button but they have some elastic on the sides but these don't. Hi Terri Congrats on your wow moment. I know exactly how you feel. I went to Walmart last week and decided to see if I could find something to buy for myself and low and behold I did so I bought 2 shirts then last night I went back and bought 2 more. I havent tried any pants yet. Still scared to. This is the first time in at least 10 years that I can buy at a regular store and not the fat lady store. WOO HOO for all of us. Isn't thsi great. Patty, It feels so good to go into Walmart and find something that fits- I love it !!! Catherines was the only thing I could fit before and I was happy to have them but only got clothes about twice a year because they are so expensive!!

DITTO on the Catherines. Next time I am at Walmart I will be trying some pants because mine are getting to look a bit ridiculous. No more Catherines for me.

"WOW moment" is right--I also have lost 69 (well, today it's 70) and I, too, am doing great and lovin' it. Yippee! I am right there with you feeling the great feeling of looking nicer in my clothes and, even better, my body feeling so much healthier and energetic than it has in years. I have actually lost from sizes 24-26 to 16-18, but at only 5' tall, I still have a way to go. No problem, though, my mind (self-esteem) is feeling good, too! No regrets for me either. I am too happy to get down about anything. I just thank God every day that this tool was available and every little change is a blessing to rejoice over. I had forgotten how nice it could be to tie my shoe without a lot of trouble! Keep rockin'! Pam
