Insurance question

I have a question. Not sure if anyone has an answer tho!! I have a friend that wants this surgery really bad. He went to a seminar and was really excited until they called his insurance and found out there is a clause in his insurance that covers no weight loss surgery. Does anyone have any suggestions or any ideas what self pay runs? I really feel bad for him. Hes so young and wls would be so good for him.

Mine cost $31K. Ouch! Many are going across the border for operations when denied through insurance and having great success. Depends on how badly he wants the surgery. They had Lap-Band and cost was around $3000 or so I think. I remember it being UNDER $5,000.
