Ok, I know we should not compare but...
Hello Terri;
Don't worry about how fast you are loosing but be happy about how you are feeling. You know to be able to walk as much as you are doing is really something else. I had my surgery 3/30/05 and have lost 58 lbs so far but what makes me the happiest is the inches!!! I measure myself on the 26th of each month and for the month of June I had lost 39 1/4 inches. When I went to see my medical doctor I was eager to get on the scales. The nurses mouth dropped open and she said no woman is happy to get on the scales. When I found out I was below 250 I started doing a little dance. I told her if she knew where I had come from she would be dancing too. I was 293 and am down to 235. But instead of looking at the pounds look at the inches. But keep up the good work that you are doing. I am proud of you and know that you can do it. Remember we are all here for you.

I started at a higher weight then you and had my surgery a few weeks before you so not to compare but I think you are right on track. I was very shocked to find out I had lost more then I expected. Your concern about the numbers is the exact reason I don't like to get on the scale that often, it can drive you nuts. You have done great, pat yourself on the back and try not to stress over the numbers the weight will come off. Oh and just to let you know I haven't officially excercised yet but I do have alot more activity in my life now that I can move much more easily. The only thing I do that I haven't heard many people talking about is, gave up my morning coffee for green tea, 2-3 cups a day.
You are losing weight at good rate. Yeah, some people on here are passing me by too, but we are all different. I have to keep reminding myself of that fact. I am like you - I started at size 30/32 4X and am now wearing 22/24's. I've lost 84 lbs and am about 295 right now. I can't wait until I get out of the 20's clothing sizes. LOL Keep doing what you are doing and it'll keep coming off. Hang in there!
