I bet what your "feeling" is head hunger. Is there any new stress or are there any new situations in your life that you are trying to deal with other then adjusting to post-op? Also, you may be getting too many carbs, that can cause you to feel hungry. Try pure protein for the next few meals and see if that helps. Kroger brand "Carb Masters Yogurt" is great for breakfast, it has 12 grams of protein. Or scrambled eggs are another good breakfast option. Lunch meat and cheese roll-ups are a great lunch alternative. Get some deli sliced turkey or chicken and roll it up in your favorite cheese slices. Some nice baked chicken with your favorite seasonings or maybe some fresh fish lightly coated in breadcrumbs with parmasean cheese sprinkled on top bakes up deliciously. Be sure to measure/weigh your portions and go back to basics and see if that helps at all with the amount of hunger you feel. Toni Lap RNY 3/21/05 267/192

well the nuggets were ok---but could have been better----broiled chicken--and I don't think I could eat 6----I have had head hunger this last week and it was sort of scary but its back under control now---May I suggest you try drinking(waterloading) prior to eating(pouch rules). This seems to help me--and I am so stuffed now cause I have been drinking--I don't want anything to eat---Get your protein in though--and hang in there---we will get there! Lisa

I am so sorry you are having a rough time---Honestly--I can only handle chicken in nugget form--but have not had it for weeks---its tastes so different and there is not a sauce to me that makes it any better--I can't eat chicken regular--baked etc--makes me sick real quick---best I can deal with is beef at this point--or fish--but please--not chicken for me!

Tinkerbelle, I often feel like I am eatting too much also. I can eat only 3-4 chicken nuggets from Wendy's or McDonalds but they don't taste the same as they used to so they have lost thier appeal for me. I agree about the carb comment - try eatting mostly protein and if you are still hungry (and are drinking all your water) try eatting a tomato or some green salad or even some brocolli. these things make me feel full but are low in calories - again, make sure you are getting in allour protein and water before this. As far as breakfast, it was mostly carbs- try some eggs and bacon or ham. Eatting carbs ALWAYS makes me hungry. Thinking of you! Terri

OMG! I posted a similar post just now myself. I am 4 months out and I feel like I am eating way too much at one sitting. I'm freaking out and panicking that I'm stretching out my pouch. If I'm able to eat 8oz now, what about in another 6 months or year, will I be able to eat 2 cups a time then? I look forward to reading replies on your thread and mine to see what people say. Hugs, Trisha

experiment--go back to weighing/measuring out your food. while you're eating, you're enjoying it so much that you really think you're hungry. measure your portions, eat thoughtfully, and focus on protein. i had to go back to weighing/measuring my portions and realized that i did feel full on smaller portions, i just wasn't realizing it. good luck!!

I think alot of it is head hunger- which I have been experiencing alot of lately.... Just try and drink plenty of water before hand and all throughout the day and maybe measure out what your eating...I hope things work out for you Bonnie
