Well, I just wanted to say when I went to my appt on Monday with my MD, I was a little disappointed because he said my weight was not coming off fast enough. He wanted me to up my exercising to 5 days a week, but I have good news. And no I didnt save a lot on my car insurance...lol. I went to Curves today and had my measurements taken. The reason I havent lost pounds is because they are converting to muscle, and I have lost 19.75 inches total over my entire body... and 8 lbs with them. All this is just 26 days too. I am still going to up my routine to 4 to 5 days a week, but I dont feel so bad about the weight loss now. I have only lost 40 lbs according to his scales...50 according to mine. I like my scales better...lol. D'Lynn 232/181

Hi All, So when you go to curves what are you actually doing workout wise? Just wondering I know I need to get to the gym more often. Thanks, Sharon

Great job on losing all those inches. I've never heard a doc say that anyone wasn't losing fast enough. My surgeon told me "...your losing slow like I like it". Toni Lap RNY 3/21/05 267/193

Yes Bonnie, I love to go to curves. I have just had one of my co-workers start there and she loves it too. It is never boring and you arent doing the same thing for 30 mins. You change machines every 30 secs, so your muscles dont get tired either. Aparently it works because I lost the 19 inches and as much as I would like to believe that it was from the lbs, I really think it is from the actually work out. Plus it is a good incentive to make you feel better. I go in the mornings before I go to work and I can do better then. Gets me ready for the day. Some people like to go after work so they can relieve the stress. Which ever works best for you. Good luck and thanks. D'Lynn

I seem to be a slow loser too, 36.5 pounds since my surgery date 4-1-05. It's a little disappointing but It's OFF! I love Curves too! It feels like I'm dancing not exercising. I havent gotten measured yet but I can feel it in my clothes. It's the best thing I've done. Keep up the good work. Jackie

Dlynn, My doctor told me that I wasn't losing fast enought either. I've lost 60# in 12 weeks, but told me that I should of lost over 80# in that time. I also started over 150# more than you. You started at where I would love to be, isn't that funny. If you only have 100# to lose, 40# is terrific. I have 200# to lose, be thankful that you don't. I also go to Curves, and love it. Good luck, Nikki Y.
