well todays the day I was hopefully going to wake up, jump on the scale and have it read under 200lbs...well it still (2 weeks now) says 203lbs. I dont mean to whine because I am very happy about my weight loss, but on July 7th I have my 3 month Dr appt. and at my last one she said "well when you come back you will be under 200" so I guess Ive got 9 more days to loose 4 lbs or more....any suggestions? Thanks, Nancy

Try to get in 60 ounces of water every day, 60 grams of protein and no or very few carbs. Change up your exercise routine a little, add some light weights or 10 extra minutes on the elliptical machine. Sometimes we just need a little change to make a big difference. Congratulations on the progress so far and keep up the good work. You'll make it to your goal. Toni Lap RNY 3/21/05 267/195

thank you for your kind words...I have heard that if you "trick" your body into doing something different, that might work. My problem is carbs... I guess I will just have to work on those! Thanks again, Nancy

You are doing GREAT!! I agree it is hard to leave some carbs alone, I'm a cheetos attic!! I do not buy them for that very reason. I just try to eat my protien first so i wont' be tempted to eat those noodles, bread etc..... You have 9 days, water water water! You can do it!!!!!! Daph

I think you are doing great. I had lap RNY on 3/15/05 and as of today, I am down 49lbs. I get upset sometimes when I see other post and see how much others have lost but then I remind myself that I have PCOS and that makes it slower for me. I have a Dr. appointment on 7/11/05 and I worry that my Dr. will be upset since I have only lost about 25lbs since I saw him 3 months ago. I worry sometimes that I am not doing something right. My energy is still very low and I seem to be retaining fluid. I drink plenty of water and try to avoid sodium. So, don't get discouraged by the scale because you are doing great. My scale stayed the same for a solid month and then I still have times that I go about a week with it not budging. The scale can make us insane. Just look at the difference in your clothes and go from there.
