Hair Loss...
Losing here there and everywhere---but I have really thick hair and can use a summer thinning out---and actually have had 2 people in the last week---that don't know I had surgery--and one a stranger--tell me what beautiful hair I have---- So guess I am happy with loss so far---weight and hair! LOL and I am taking all my supplements too!Thank goodness for thick hair!
Diana,
This seams to be a question that many people are concerned with, everyone seam to have the answer. Many people on these board say to take biotin, they even say how the can't live without it, yet in their next sentence they say their hair is still falling out "I don't get it!" Because I had heard some much about the hair loss thing I asked my surgeon 1 week after surgery (my first post-op visit) what I should do to prevent hair loss, because I didn't want to come back in three months bald-headed (lol) He told me to take over-the-counter prenatal vitamins (I take 2 per day), Diana I haven't had any hair loss at all, to be honest my hair is getting really thick and long. So, give it a try I hope this helps!!!
I too am loosing my hair, very thin to begin with and don't want to loose anymore. I have been taking all of my vitamins, calcium, and biotin. Nothing seems to help. I asked my nutritionist last week and she told me it was due to the affects of surgery and loss of protein but not to worry she said it would only happen during the 3-6 months post-op. I have lost 83 lbs since 3/10/05 I think that might have something to do with it as well.
Yep, losing so much hair I've clogged the drain at my house and my parents house.
It will come back as son as your body regulates and normalizes.
Everyone that I know that is year out, has it all coming back.
Everyone told me that if you load up on protein before surgery it can help, but of course I heard that 1 week before surgery, not really enough time to load up.
Hi,
I don't know if I am losing hair or not. I have really thin fine hair so I shaved it all off about a month ago and wear really cute hats and a sassy wig that nobody believes is a wig. Have learned to apply makeup a bit differently since I sometimes wear the bald head...LOL! In fact this morning my DH shaved my head for me....now that is love! I figured all my life I have cared what people think about the way I look and have felt shame for my weight....now I just think they can kiss my bald head if they don't like it!!!
