I have been steadily shrinking out of my clothes as are most of us. Well, today I went to a local store to get some shaver cleaner for my DH and as I walked by the Misses workout clothing section I decided, what the heck, I have nothing to lose. I grabbed a few XL pants in Nike and ADIDAS and 1 XL Nike shirt. I went into the dressing room, tried on the Nike workout pants and they were a tad snug. Not so snug that I couldn't wear them but not for my comfort level. Tried the ADIDAS pants on and OMGoodness!!! They fit perfectly! The Nike shirt I had picked out fit as well. I almost cried right there in the dressing room. Up until that moment I hadn't really felt like I'd lost weight. I now have a new perspective. I am so glad I had this surgery and I just wanted to share this incredible moment of my journey with all of you. Thanks! Missy rny 3/15/05 290/218/160

Missy, I know exactly how you feel. I hadnt bought any new clothes until May 30th when my mom insisted she take me out and get me something for my birthday and mothers day. (I wouldnt let her buy me anything when those dates came around because I hadnt lost enough to tell.) When I tried on the 18s and XL, I almost cried becasuse I have been in 24/26 and 3X for so long, I couldnt believe how much difference it made. You are right though, I am actually feeling like I have lost weight. Although everyone else can tell it, I think we are the last ones to really feel it. I had someone ask me the other day when I was going to wear clothes that fit so they could tell how much weight I had really lost...lol. Keep up the good work girl....we are all so lucky to have this new chance at life. D'Lynn 232/181 -51 lb forever.

I can totally relate! Normally I head straight for the plus size section of whatever store I'm shopping in. Last week I realized I could wear regular size clothing. I was so overwhelmed at all the selection and the vast amount of clothes! I did what ever red blooded american women would do.. I took a deep breath and started at the beginning! I tried on tons of clothes but only spent $30 on a few well fitting clearance items. I had more fun trying on than actually buying!

congrats!!! YES!!! It feels good doesnt it... I can relate only in that I was up to size 32/34.... or 5X-6X.... and could ONLY shop at one store in my area.... Catherines.... so now i am in regular PLUs SIZE , down to a size 3 - 2 X.... and I had forgotten what it was like to have more than one store to shop at... I have to hang onto my wallet when I go shopping now!!! Can't wait to get out of plus sizes...
