Hi Michelle, Everything will be perfect for you when they take that gallbladder out. I had my done thru a scope several years ago and recovery was quick. It will be so nice to be able to eat without the pain under the ribs...oh I remember that well. Thought someone was stabbing me! Am sorry your hubby won't be there but you can bet his heart will be. Had the operation last October. Didn't need any painkillers when I woke up and felt like myself completely in 2 days. You will be fine and, boy, you will feel so much better with your painful gallbladder gone. Donna
