Greg Sands .... how is the new job working out?
Hi Greg,
Just being nosey- wanted to know how the new job is working for you.
Also please tell me your wife's name again- I'd like to see how she is doing too. You were one of the 1st to sopport me when I joined the March board so I remember your name. I just submitted a new picture to the wonderful volunteers- maybe soon it will be up!
Terri
Terri,
Thanks for asking. I've only worked two days, but it's okay, for a retail sales job. It's a bit odd, because it isn't a commission sales job (I'm not used to that). The pay is lousy, but the environment is very relaxed. Apple is one company that I've always wanted to work for (NASA and the Dodgers are the other two), but now I find I might not be able to stay just because of the low pay.
There is another position that might come available in the next month. If it is offered me, I might very well have to leave Apple to take it. Funny how life works: Four years ago (three weeks after 9/11) I flew from Philadelphia to LA just to have an interview with Apple for a job (they thought I was nuts). Now that I have the brass ring, I might have to leave it.
My wife's name is Linda Sands and she has a profile on here. She is also doing well, having lost about 45 lbs in just under three months (her surgery date was 3/28). She's a bit more challenged in that she is a vegetarian, making food selection just a little tougher, but she's managing.
I'll look forward to seeing the updated pic!
