Has anyone been brave enough to try....
Thanks everyone. I promise to mind the carbs in both. The one rule I do stick to is getting the protein in first! I also stick to the rule of chew it until there's nothing left to chew. My pouch is only sensitive when I break those rules, so I learned real fast. If I forget, the pouch lets me know!!! So, I guess that the corn on the cob will be limited to 1/2 a small ear or less and only once (maybe twice?) a week.

I can corn on the cob 2 weeks ago for the first time and there were NO complications for me. I love it!!!!! And popcorn I tried a month ago for the first time and there were NO complications. So go for it! Each one of us is different though, so you'll probably get mixed answers. But for me, I was fine having both with no problems.

Cheryl,
I have had corn in soup, so it wasn't a lot... no problem.
Yesterday I took the kids to the movies and I had some popcorn. I had to really work hard not to eat too much. I could probably eat a large bag by myself before. I didn't have any problems. Just be sure to chew really good. I did spit out some kernels.
A friend of mine did get some popcorn stuck in her pouch and the Dr. had to go in and get it out. She thought she might have developed a stricture only to find out it was popcorn giving her trouble.

I love popcorn, I get the mini-bags of OR's Smart Pop (100 cals, lowfat) and can usually eat most of it. I limit it to once a week though, since it is definitely a carb. It helps keep me regular though! I have avoided regular corn for a while even pre-op b/c it tends to give me intestinal cramps. Popcorn does, but not as much as regular whole kernel corn. I did better with creamed corn pre-op, I may try that in the near future.
