Anyone else having trouble with water?
I'm having a hard time getting in enough water everyday. I find myself at 10 PM with a 20 oz that isn't even half gone. And sometimes I feel really bloated when I drink water. I'm taking small sips and trying to be mindful of not swallowing air. I'm getting frustrated and afraid of dehydration.
Any advise would be appreciated.

STILL STUCK AT A LOSS OF -41
i've relapsed--i was doing really well until recently when my stomach started cramping with water again like it did right after surgery. i still usually get in about 32 oz. a day at minimum, but that's half what my surgeon recommends. i just have to remember to take baby sips constantly. propel (fitness water by gatorade) seems to go down a little better, so i drink that.
I have been having the same problem with my water intake and ended up at my doctors office because of dehydration! He told me that even though I felt that it was impossible to get it all in, it was possible and that I need to take sips all throughout the day. It is very important, so try your best to get it in and know that I'm struggling right along with you. Good luck and take care

And I would add that it is VERY important to make sure you get your 64 oz in as the weather is warming up and humidity is higher. Yesterday, I had three bottles of water (48oz) over the course of the day, and I had walked 2 miles in 90 degree temps, and when I urinated last evening, I showed classic signs of dehydration (less output, darker color). Even though it was 10pm, I prepared one more bottle and made sure I got it in before bedtime (I usually don't go to bed before 1am anyway). It didn't get me up in the middle of the night, so I'm quite sure I was dehydrated and it was a good thing I drank that last bottle!
If you are exercising outdoors, or working out in the yard, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BOTTLE OF WATER HANDY at all times!! It's true for anybody but ESPECIALLY true for us WLS patients! (oh, and wear your sunscreen. No sense gaining all this health from the surgery, only to wind up dying early from skin cancer! )
Hi Toni, I keep a good supply of those suger free ice pops handy when I have those days that I can't seem to drink enough water. They seem to do the trick for me. Those packets of crystal light that you put in the water bottle work well also ( Wal -Mart sells their brand of those packets at half the price of Crystal Light ) . Good luck and keep up the good work!

I can so totally relate. Plain water makes me feel ill. My nutritionist suggested I switch to Fruit 2O. She said it is counted as water. I find that I can drink it more easily because it has some flavor. I also use watered down gatorade partly frozen. That really does the trick for me.
I also use diet snapple.
