Help!!!!!!! Can u tell me what u are eating, drinking and doing for exercise in a day, because i just do not seem to be losing weight and i need some encouragement here because iam so frustrated. I'm starting to question whether or not I made the right decision. I had a EGD scope done 4 weeks post op to clear an obstruction and dilate my opening. I vomit for a day and 1/2 and it scare me to death. I have been getting in about 70- 80 grams of protein and drinkling about 55-60ounces of fluids. I increase my exercise from walking 1 to 1.5 miles a day and now include going back to CURVES and starting a water aerobics glass. I just assumed i would lose more than 22 lbs in 7 weeks. Thank you ahead of time for your replies and encouragement.

I just made a post on my home state board about how it is so hard not to compare myself to others, and even to deal with my own expectations about weight loss. I don't have any magic answers, or even any non-magic ones! But I did want to stop and say hello and HANG IN THERE! I don't know how much weight total you want to lose, but 22 pounds should make a good dent in it, whatever it is Take care & keep us posted about how you are doing.

One thing I've discovered in this process is that everyone is definitely on their own pacing. Sometimes it takes our bodies a while to assimilate what has happened. Keep working on it, eventually your body will catch up to what you are doing. Also, if you don't have an extreme amount to lose, your weight loss at first is not great. Those folks who are losing way over 100 lbs. often lose a bunch at the beginning. Sometimes it's hard for our mind to distinguish that fact! Keep it up...You are on the right track! Susie

I know how fustrating it can be--I just had a scope done to open up my small intenstines and am back on fluids, so I feel like I have taken a step back. My cousin had the surgery and averaged 2-3 lbs a week for her entire weight loss year--turns out that slow and steady still looses weight! I complained to my doctor about the weight loss and he made the point--just think that is 22 lbs you will never have again. Just keep working hard--eventually it will pay off! Courtney

Cheer up LP!! I know that is easier said than done!! I know I am actually feeling the same way, but at 9 weeks, I have only lost 40 pds but...I am choosing to look at it this way, I am 42% to goal!! So, if you can, try to not look at the pounds, look at the % you have lost! I know it is hard! I am REALLY bad about my protein and working hard to get it in! I am paranoind about Calories and NEVER hear anyone talk about those....I do pilates everyday for 45 minutes and 35 minutes on my ellipse 3x\week. I look at it this way, 9 weeks ago I could not stop myself from gaining weight! It seemed like the harder I tried, the more I ate and the more I ate, the more I gained! So....need I say more! ON my down days, I go back and read those who have had success...and I now I can do this too! You are in my prayers...keep you chin up and remember...any loss is better than a gain! JK

Hi there, I felt the same way as you and questioned if I had made the right decision but I have gone from a size 26/28 to a 20/22 now and that in itself is awesome. It's not always the lbs but the inches that are melting away as well. You are doing wonderful in your exercising I wish I could say the same. I want to join Curves myself and need to push myself a little harder. I know your first year is when you will lose the most you are going to lose. So hang in there and just think those are 22lbs that are gone now forever. Deborah W 298/251/?
