WLS Moment
I didn't have a great week last week with my weight loss (I lost 5 pounds which is ok, but below what I have been averaging) but I had a pretty good weekend with a WLS moment. We had the team party for my son's baseball team and it was at a local restaurant. When we got there, they had only reserved booth's for us. :-0: You see where this is going...! Initially I was apprehensive because I can't remember the last time I sat in a booth, and I thought for sure I would have to make the embarrassing request to sit off in the corner at a table while the rest of the team parents were in our section. But I thought I would give it a quick try, so while no one was looking...I tried to quickly sit down...and I FIT! I couldn't exactly do somersaults in it or anything, but I could actually sit in the booth like a normal person. It was a good feeling and not one I was expecting this soon. Then later on that same day I took my family to a baseball game and they had seats instead of bleachers and I had to hold my breath again...I FIT there too! Of course it was torture smelling the hot dogs and nachos for the whole game, but at least I could sit in the chair without my legs going numb or getting bruises on my thighs! My next milestone is the century club which I should hit sometime next weekend or early next week. That will be kind of neat also! Keep up the good work everyone!

My wife and I have partial season tickets to the Phillies. We go to about three games a month, so we can tell the difference in sitting in our seats every time we go!
Also, I went to my doctor's office and she came into the exam room, and I was sitting in a chair. I grinned at her and said "Well, I see you finally got bigger chairs." She laughed.
Great job. I am excited for you. I havent tried sitting in a booth yet either but will try the next time we go to a restraunt. We don't really eat out alot because I still dont eat much. But with my anniversary comming up on the 25th I think my husband will be taking me out to dinner and maybe even a movie...so I will be insisting on the booth and going to cinemark 10, instead of the carmike because cinemark has the smaller seats I wanna know if I fit in those seats now that I have lost 65 pounds. I wont be disappointed if I don't because I know that by the end of summer I will fit in both booths and movie seats. Still congradulations on your accomplishments and keep it up....
Chris, Congrats on the moment! I have not tried booths yet but I will have to. I amazed myself this Sunday. I put on my size 26 jeans and looked clown-ish. Then I put on my 24's and I am about ready to lose those also! Boy I keep wearing big clothes since I am used to them and not realizing that I can fit into something smaller.
Here's to all of us who had the courgage to make this life changing decision, and to all the wls moments that we will encounter with the joy of a child!
