This is great that we have this board. I lost 30 lbs the first month and then I have been at a 0 loss since April 26. My surgery was March 21. Other than the plateau I am on, I feel great. So many of us seem to hit the scale and want to cry when we do not have a loss.. I guess cause we go through this body altering surgery, we want it to be a continuous loss at least in the beginning Thank you all for sharing. Sue

You're right, and it is frustrating when it grinds to a halt. When the scale isn't moving, step on it less and use your measuring tape more. A lot of times, even when you aren't dropping on the scale, you could be losing inches. Take heart that this surgery doesn't stop after a month or so. If you are drinking your water, eating your protein and exercising, you WILL lose. Hang in there! Greg 342/274/178

Congrats on your weight loss. You're doing really well. I just started to lose again after not losing for 6 weeks, so I understand how frustrating the plateaus can be. You, though, in the past, if I had hit a plateau even half as long, I would have said "What the hell" and binged. I can't do that anymore. I had no choice but to wait it out and continue to exercise and eat well. That's progress.

Hi, I am going on 7 weeks as well, and I started to get a little nervous because the scales haven't moved in about a week..... I have lost about 42 pds.. which I am very grateful for... but I keep thinking I wont' lose anymore.... It's nice to know that I am not alone. Thank you for sharing..Jodi

You are definitely right as far as wanting to see a continuing loss... but any loss at all is a positive step in the right direction! Congrats to you on loss so far keep it up Bonnie
