I am also 6 weeks out. Two days before you had yours. I have had a lot of nausea the past couple of weeks. I went to see my primary physician yesterday and my blood pressure was low! I take 3 blood pressure meds. I was also dehydrated. So two of my BP meds are gone, I am forcing more water in and I have to say I do feel better after only one day. I am down 38 lbs also!! No regrets!!

Hi Angela Congratulations! My surgery was April 1st and I'm 10 pounds behind you. I am just starting to feel a little more energy but for the most part I do a little then take a rest. . Are you taking all your vitamins? We just have to be patient. Good Luck and God Bless.

Congratulations! I too am 6 weeks out, but am only down 28 pounds. I've been kind of bummed that I haven't lost more, but guess I just have to be patient. I feel like I am barely eating, but still not losing that much. I can eat solid foods, but seem to have a very hard time with chicken. Even eating the smallest bites and chewing until there is nothing left, rarely will stay with me. My diet mostly consists of high protein pudding 20 grams per serving and cottage cheese, sf popsicles, and that's about it. I keep thinking that eating should be getting easier. I recieved my Obesity Help Magazine today and read an article about how things supposedly get easier after 8 weeks. I'm hoping that I will be able to tell a BIG difference in another 2 weeks. Again, congrats on the weight loss, and feel free to clue me in to any secrets you feel are helping you. Thanks, Sue

Hi there. My surgery was March 28 and this past week is the first I've had enough energy to skip a nap when I get home from work! I've been keeping track of my protein and the higher it gets, the better I feel. I'm down 40 pounds. I can eat just about anything, except salad. I have days when things won't stay with me, but figured out that I was eating too fast! The solution is to concentrate on my eating and not do anything else while I'm eating. I also had a problem with pills, so I've found liquid calcium and liquid vitamins. Hope this info helps. Cheryl

I had my surgery on March 30th also and I am down 50 pounds. I went 3 to 4 days sometimes without weight loss. I find that walking and drinking lots of fluids seems to speed up my weight loss. I walk about 4-5 days a week 1-3 miles. I still have a problem getting the protein in but I drink crystal light all day long. I still have about two days a week that I feel really tired, and I was told that it gets better about 8 weeks out.

Hi Angela, I'm not tired but a little bum out its been 7 weeks and only down 22 lbs. I feel like it should be more , but I guess patience is a virtue the weight didn't come on overnight. lol Are you getting in your vitamin supplements daily ? Also, increase your exercise. I started water aerobics this week ( 5-17-05 along with going to Curves 2 to 3 times a week Will see what happens. Congrat on the weight loss keep plugging along lee fellow march surgery buddy
