I had my surgery middle of march and am still having trouble with up set stomachs..some days i do really good and others are hard to do anything..
I have special needs young adults to look after and find bad days hard to handle. All i would like to know is that someday it will be better. Weight ways i am doing good , so i know it is all worth it.
Does everyones bad days last this long.
Sharon--I had surgery on March 21st--recently I have been having a very hard time. I had an all time high of 3 days without vomiting...not I"ve had 3 days of nothing but. I have put a call into my doc because I am having that much of a hard time and even some liquids make me upset, while other times it doesn't. I've had to take off of work as well and am worried about my finances. I jsut don't feel that great. I too am doing well losing weight, but I feel so bad sometimes, I don't even care. I guess that we need to keep those "good days" in mind--it will get easier so they promise us!!!! Just keep your head up and know that you aren't going through this alone!
courtney; thank you very much for your kind words.I live in canada and when you talk to people up hear they don't even know what the rny is...I had my surgery in michigan at Forest Health Clinic. The surgery was a complete success but i have these problem and they say they are just normal. It was great to know there is someone who is going through the same thing..
I try and look at the big picture which is the best to do.
again thanks.
You are not alone with the sick stomach. I have the same issues. I find if I am stressed out it is harder to keep food down. If I am stressed out i stick to my shakes and fluids. Plain water will make me gag when I am stressed and upset. If I have eaten something that upsets me I just go back to liquids for a day and I get back ontrack after that. Your pouch is healing and adjusting so relax and stop worrying so much that doesn't help it either.

First, i'd like to say- welcome to the message board! I think everyone goes through many ups and downs at one point or another some lasting longer than others. Just hang in there and try and stay positive as much as you can. It will be so worth it in the end! Take care and I hope you're feeling better.
