Hi all! I am stuck again, I will be two months out tomorrow, and I have only lost 33 pounds, with very little loss at all over the last two weeks. Is this happening to anyone else here? I had 107 pounds to lose total, and have 74 left to go. Any suggestions for me?? UGH!!! Thank you!!!

All I can say is hang in there!! Make sure you are drinking your water, protein shakes, and excersizing. Other than that just try and get through it. Before you know it, you will be dropping pounds and the plateau will be worth it! I know it's hard but try and not focus on the numbers- it will all come off eventually! Hang in there and I wish you much success in the future! Bonnie

I was the same way and I got more active, started measuring my food like day 1. I was getting to comfortable; now, I was lossing weight, but I knew there were things I could have been doing to make it move along faster. So, I asked myself these Q's. and reply to them and post agaian maybe I can help! 1.What are you eating day-to-day? 2.Are you getting in all your water and protein? 3.What kind of cardio workout are you doing? I had to ask myself this about two weeks ago I have made the changes and I have seen great results. I also had to remember when I was seeing the scale saying I had lost weight, because of my Muscle gain, I was lossing inches

Antonina, Hang in there. I have not lost anything for the past 5 weeks. I was going bonkers, but I decided to rely more on how my body was getting smaller than my weight. My food, exercise, water, and protein are right on, I'm told by my doctor's staff. It's just that everyone is different, especially, especially if you have less to lose, are older, are building muscle, etc. Donna

Hang in there. I can relate. I had my surgery about 2 weeks after you and am down 26 lbs. We have less weight to lose, therefore we lose slower. Just stick to what your doctor says to do and eventually you will get there. I know how frustrating it is. Hang in there. Hugs, Jodi

Thanks everyone, I have been struggling still trying to get all the shakes and water in, but I sip water all day, and have been eating only high protein foods. (so far, all levels are good, clinically...) Today I walked about 4 miles, so maybe there will be a change tomorrow, I appreciate all of your support, how great!

Antonina You are doing GREAT!! The average weight lose is 10 to 15 lbs a month. So you are just fine. Also, two weeks is nothing. A true plateau is when you neither lose weight or lose inches for one FULL month. You are exercising and that is most likely giving you muscle. Have you tried taking your measurements once a week? If you are gaining muscle, you might not see it on the scale, but you can tell with the inches coming off. Muscle is good, it burns twice the fat by just being muscle. Stop stepping onthe scale and start listening to your body. Do you feel lighter, do your clothes feel looser? These are the important things. You are doing great! Remember that you didn't gain this weight overnight and it isn't going to come off overnight either. When was the last time you lost this much weight in 2 months? Me, I'm 9 weeks out and 37 lbs down,m but I feel great. I can move better than I have in years. Be patient!!

Wow, you have been doing great!! People have told me it's normal to stall along the way while body adjusts to weight loss. It can last a few weeks at a time, so just be patient. Try some of these pointers that have helped me: * Increase your protein * Increase your water * Increase your exercise * Increase your sleep hours * Do not eat after dinner - except a protein mix or bar before bed Hope this helps! Hang in there. These little stalls are part of the WLS journey. I know it's frustrating!! Hugs, Trisha -56 lbs
