Hi.. Just got back from shopping. Stopped at GNC and bought a case of Atkins S'mores Protein Bars.. (I love them) Man in the store mentioned Isopure.. He says it has 50 grams of protein!!! Problem is I was afraid to buy it cause what if i don't like it. He says it has a money back guarantee I want to get some feedback from any of you who have used this product before I buy.. Thanks. IT's okay in my opinion, but I'm not crazy about it. I think the Unjury tastes better personally.

I've been using Isopure Vanilla and Chocolate since surgery. I love it. It mixes well. I'm just getting done with my first jugs, and I'm definately getting it again. I am going to Unjury unflavored as well, as I see the rave reviews about this. Eileen RNY 03/30/05 290/260 -30

The premix bottles of juice are very sweet to me. I find they can make me sick to my pouch and thirsty. The chocolate and vanilla powder is good. I really like the proplete that you get from the bariatriceating.com. Good luck your tastes change all the time after surgery.

Yes, your taste does change alot after surgery.... as for the Isopure... it does have 50 grams of protein per "drink" if you use 2 scoops of the powder which is the same as using many of the others. Basically you double the amount of powder and you double the amount of protein.... It's too strong for me when I add it to 8 oz... so I add it to 12 or 16. Which means that you are still getting about 25 per 8 ox serving. Which is similar to Nectar (23) or Matrix (24?) or Elite (27). So basically its the same... to me anyway... As for taste... its similar to the others....

Remember, you can only absorb 30g of protein in an hour. So even if you have 40+ g of protein in a drink or bar or whatever, you will only absorb 30g. I did not like Isopure protein powder. Yuck!! That's just my opinion. Some people LOVE it.

I've learned so much post-op that I didn't know before - even with all the info they give me pre-op. There's just so much to learn and know. I'm on a couple online support groups and have gained so much knowledge through there. It's awesome!! How are you doing? Hugs, Trisha -56 lbs

I agree with Trisha, I did not care for the Isopure at all. It was fine before surgery, after- well I just couln't take it. To thick and ganular. I much prefer Matrix and Nectar. Nectar does great with plain water which was a big deal for me because milk, even lactaid began to give me trouble post surgery. www.bariatriceating.com will let you purchase all kinds of samples for $1.75- that really helped me identify what worked best and tasted best.

Personally, I bought the vanilla one from GNC and it made me want to!!! You can always buy it and see if you like it and if you don't, opened or unopened you can take it back and get your money back within 90 days I think it is. Good luck and I hope you find something you like! Bonnie
