ABOUT EATING BEEF...
My surgeon said six months for both white and red meat. They say that they are hard to digest because of the longer muscle fibers. I have to admit though I have had chicken breast, and ground beef without any problems. I didn't have any problems with home-made roast either, of-course I put it in the slow cooker and cook it to death. Anyway good luck,
Billie
I"ve been able to have hamburger meat, chick and pork. Tuna also doesn't sit well for me for some reason (although I got some down last night). If it's moist, I can ususally take it, but my thing is I can't handle any spice--everything needs to be bland and moist and of course, I chew chew chew.
Good luck!
Hi Antoinette...I have eaten hamburger, chicken, pork, tuna, shrimp, catfish....I have to chew it 30-60 times before I can swallow and I can't eat very much of it at all...I also think you either need to cook your meat in a crockpot or put something on it so that it's moist. Good luck to you.

I was told the same thing by both surgeon and patients. I can eat GROUND beef/turkey like in chili, tacos, meat loaf, meatballs, etc., but that's about it right now. Wendy's chili is awesome. Not sure why it goes down so easy, but it does! Try it. you'll become addicted! A small portion should last you through two meals. (4oz each).
I can also eat shrimp and salmon. But that's about it right now. I wish I could eat chicken, but it just comes right back up. Patients say that their bodies accepted chicken about the 3-5th month. Ey-yi-yi! I miss my chicken.
And even after a year, when you do eat steak, you'll only able to have a few bites and that's it because beef doesn't digest as well as other lighter meats.
Hi Everyone
Last week I started phase 3..I have been eating chicken & fish, but last night we went to a party and I tried prime rib..omg it was soooooooo good ..only ate abt 2 oz. I cut it in tiny pieces and it was great.. so far everything I have tried has worked except salmon for some reason..Oh and by the way I am addicted to Wendy's chili I ask for cheese with it for extra protein and use a lil sour cream ..a small container is 2 meals for me...
PS Happy Mothers Day All!!

I haven't been able to do meat.. Although a couple weeks back I took a peice of my husbands steak.. chewed all the juice then spit it out.
Tuna for me is a sometime thing. ONe day good... one day a no no.
Corned beef hash is the same way.
I've been living on imitation crab meat, protein bars and cheese
chicken is iffy too.. although I went to Burger King last week and ate two chicken nuggets.. no problem..
