Just a question for all the ladies- Is anyone having trouble getting their bras to fit properly? My old ones don't fit quite right and are uncomfortable across the incision line, but I am well-endowed enough I can't think of going without! Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Linda, I have found the sports bra style to be the most comfortable. They do not have underwires and are of a very soft cotton. Granted, they do not give the support needed, but they are far more comfortable on the top part surgery site. I am 6 weeks post-op and am just now not as sore when wearing regular bras. Hope this helps! Take care, Marty

I know what you mean. I wear my bras looser to be comfy, then I sag more. Bummer, but much more comfortable. I'm 6 weeks post op and so bras don't bother me anymore. So, it will get better. I'm planning on going to a professional bra fitter when I need to buy a new bra. I want to be comfortable AND look good.

Hi Linda, You and I share the same surgery date! I have noticed that my bra's don't fit as well either but I have also noticed that my breast seem to be flatter and alot saggier than before! Some friends of mine who have had this surgery all joked about how they just roll them up now and stick them in the cups of the bra. I really didn't think they were serious but I believe them now! I have had to move to the next set of hooks but it doesn't offer much help.

I can SO relate.... I was blessed and able to take 4 weeks off work... so I did not wear one unless HAD TO... even when going to town. I wore baggy shirts so it was less noticeable and I decided if anyone had a problem.. OH WELL.... I am back at work yesterday and wore a BRA that was alittle tight... and OUCH!! I could not wait to get home to take it off........ SPorts Bras are a good option... and I did put a small panty liner under the front of my bra (front closure style) when I had to wear it last week... it gave some cushioning and worked well............

You have to remember ladies we are losing weight. That means in our breast area too. I'm only 7 or 8 weeks out and I went from a 44DDto a 40C. The best thing is sports bras, but if you insist on wearing a regular bra, just buy one. Because your going to lose more.

Heck yeah I'm having bra problems. Before returning to work I wore no bra as often as I could. When I returned to work it was a different story. The bra line bothered my incision, I tug at it all day. Needless to say it isn't fitting as well anymore. I never had a lot but I feel like I lost most of my weight in my face and breast. The straps don't even stay up the same way.

I had laproscopic so my incisions are around my waist line. I've gone down 4 inches in my bust-line in 2 months. It's time for a new bra. I'm on the last hooks on my bra and straps are as tight as they can go and I need more support. I'm losing alot in my shoulders/chest area - very obvious in pictures and such. Kind of weird. I want my breasts to stay the same size (haha) and my stomach and hips to decrease more. But it's pretty even in inches coming off. I heard sports bras are comfortable and don't press so hard against the skin. Also, stay away from underwire if it goes against your incision. Hope this helps!
