I Hope my leak has stopped!!!!!!

Hi All, Well I am sceduled to have yet another leak test I think it is the 4th to see if my leak is finally healed(surgery 3-30). I still have a drain, a pick-line for antibiotics as well as feeding tube into my old stomach. I test on Tuesday and if all is well all the tubes come out and I can start to eat pureed foods. I am praying this happens as I am so tired of not feeling like a human being anymore. I have not been hungry even once and the Dr. allows 1 popsickle sugar free of course to see if a leak is present and as of 2 days ago I was still leaking but now nothing. I have lost 43lbs to date even with eating 1800 calories of isopure through the gastric tube. I real need for this to happen as I am going crazy like I am know. Joel A. Droba

Hi Joel, I hope your leak has stopped too! You amaze me at how well you are handling this...I think I would be crazy by now. You are a rock that is for sure. Am saying prayers that you will not show any leaks on your test tuesday. Let us know so we can celebrate with you! That toast is going to be with crystal lite tho not beer!

well, I have canceled my leak test for Tuesday as of today about 1:00pm it started to leak again it seems it was clogged with some old blood and once that passed it began to drain again. I spoke with the Dr. and we will try agin next week and I really hope it is fixed by then if not it is off to the gastro entarologist to get some glue to close it off so it can heal with a little help. Well I will take whatever help I can get to make this get better faster. Joel A. Droba

Joel--I'm praying that the leak has healed and you are on to mush. I can only imagine how crazy you are going. The good thing is how much weight you've loss--WOW. You are just fading away! Anyway, keep your head up--you are kicking butt. Courtney

Congrats on 43 lbs lost! WOW! So how did leak test go today? Also, what'd you decide to do about your job and the travel?
