CONGRATS on your weight loss! I am almost one month out as well...I had my "3 week" check up on Tuesday (My surgery was April 1) and lost 29 lbs...but I wanted to lose more as well! I think we all want more then we do?!?! Also, I know for me, when I read other people's post about losing 40+ pds the first month I expected/hoped for it! BUT I have to remind myself...everyone loses diferently AND most that lose that much so early on have more to lose...so CONGRATS on your loss.... DK

Great job, Tracy , and welcome to the "March Madness" board! I am 7-1/2 weeks out and have lost 60 ! My wife is 4-1/2 weeks out and lost 23 . Everybody loses at a different rate. You are doing very well. If you don't feel the lbs are dropping fast enough, do some measurements. A lot of times, the inches will really tell the story (my 4 week measurements were 16-1/2 inches down from pre-op ) so I can't wait to see, come Sunday, how I've done at 8 weeks. Good luck, have fun in here (lots of good people to give lots of advice and encouragement), if you haven't already, work on your profile (mine is about the size of "War and Peace" already ) but it helps to read your own saga as time goes on.

Hi Tracy, Congrats to you for your great weight loss I am also just a month out and am down between 27 & 28 lbs. I wanted to lose much more than this too but am happy with my loss. Seems like my weight has been stuck for about a week and bouncing around a bit. Frustrating! Welcome to the board! I have gotten great advise from the people who post here. Keep up the good work and I am glad we are all sharing in this journey together!

you are doing fantastic. I think I was right at 25lbs after a month. So right on schedule. Hope Month 2 is just as successful as the first month for you. Good luck Kerri ;)

Yay Tracy! I share your surgery date and I am down 22 lbs. I'm having no problems getting in my protein, and my water, my only problem is finding the time to get in a bit of exercise. I have a long day and I get home soooo tired. Congrats on your 24!! Eileen 03/30/05 290/268 -22

Welcome to the board and congrats on your weight loss. I only lost 18 lbs. in the first month. I think part of the reason was that I'd lost 25 lbs. in the 2 months prior to surgery. You know how our bodies fight like crazy to hold on to that fat when they think we're starving. I stopped weighing myself and I'm going to limit the weigh in to once a month. But, I have dropped 3 sizes on top -- to18, which almost seems normal, and 2 sizes on my pear-shaped bottom to 20. I'm actually fitting into clothes in my closet that still have tags on them. I bought them way back when I planned on dieting my way into them.
