I went for my six week check up and it went great. I can go to a regular diet, with emphasis on protein. I had lost 29 lbs at my checkup, which is actually over 25% of the body weight I want to lose! My blood pressure and blood sugar have been good and I am off all meds except for the vitamins and calcium. He told me to increase my fruits for snacks as they would help me with constipation issues I'm having. I have not vomited one time thus far! Came close at times - but close only counts in horseshoes!!! Life is Good!!!

Wow, you haven't thrown up once?! That's awesome. I haven't dumped or anything, but I have experienced foaming/frothing (gagging stuff up). So that's cool that you haven't thrown up once. You are blessed!! Congrats on your awesome weight loss so far!! You are doing great! Congrats on getting off your meds now. That's awesome!! Wow!! It only gets better from here!

Trisha, So, what exactly is foaming? Is it a form of vomiting? I too am lucky enough not to vomit, dump, or have any reaction to food. Only sometimes I worry that that isn't too lucky. I've talked to people who have no problem eating anything and I worry that, in that kind of situation, they might start eating white stuff again. Donna

Woo HOO. Terrific. I am on regular diet also, since last thursday. No vomiting/dumping as yet either, but I do have the constipation problem as well. IF you find any tricks let me know. They said more water, but if I drank anymore water, (i'm up to between 80-90oz a day) I"ll surely float away. Eileen

Great job !!! I am also 6 weeks post op. Knock on wood ,I haven't vomitted once..whew~ I had a major constipation issue.. my cousin had the surgery 3 mths prior to us and she told me .. what worked for her , was eating spinach everyday ( creamed or saute'd in a drop of oil ) and it works.Otherwise my doctor told me I would have to take a laxative or fleet enema , they also said milk of magnesia, but that made me gag. So far so good .. keep up the great work.. Terri

Ladies, I'm about 6 weeks out. I ate total cereal with skim milk (mushy) not swimming in the milk for 2 'meals' twice a day and it solved it nicely! Not to mention it's lots of vitamins!
