Hi everyone!!
I am having a good week and I wanted to share! First of all I got a new computer so now I can join in the fun instead of just peeking in from time to time!
Also I went to my first support group meeting. Everyone is great and I got a lot of ideas and suggeestions. And I met my first goal, which was to be weighed on a standard Dr's office scale. I used to be so embarrased when the staff had to get all the extra attachments. I had surgery on 3/14 at 385. At the meeting I weighed and I am 349!! Yeah!!!! No more special scales for me!
Congrats!! I know how big of deal it is to get weighed on a regular dr scale. It wasn't until last year that I had to weigh on the separate digital scale because I was over 350. So when I got UNDER 350 post-op (took 2 weeks I think) I was like WOO-HOO! Only those that have been over 350 can understand!!!!
Things are going to be getting better and better for you!! Support is SOOOOO important. I've been going to mine here at the hospital as well and they are very important for not only new post-ops but also people 2+ years out! Keep going!
Keep up the great work. You are off to a great start!!
