Silly question, but is peanut butter considered a thick liquid, or a soft food? Any ideas? Thanks, Sue

I would think that peanut butter would be considered a soft food.My surgeon says that I have to stay away from it because of the oils in it! Bonnie

Thanks Bonnie! I wasn't really sure, but it's been sounding awfully good. Perhaps it's because I should be starting my period....like today! I think I'm craving it because of that. Thanks for the advise.

My doctor allowed it at one week out - I used low carb creamy Skippy - and ate it on a saltine cracker.

Yummy peanut butter... 8 grams of protein in 2 TBL. So why not eat it??? I love it and its a great snack in between those meals.... I went to a wedding this weekend and wasnt sure if I would have anything handy and good for me to eat.... so I took along Peanut butter.... it helped when driving down the road and getting hungry. So I had 2 TBL while my husband was eating his junk food.... !!!

I've been able to eat it with out any problems. Just put it on a spoon and go slow, the taste helps fill me. But I must say I have fallen in love with sugar free popsycles, in the evening they give me some flavor and quench my thirst. Some days just the sound of food puts me off and i have to force something with flavor so the peanut butter helps. Good Luck

It helps me fill up. Usually when we are craving it, it is the protein we wants. My surgeon had me on soft foods for three weeks, which was anything I could puree too. I found that Betty Crocker makes a GREAT instant potatoe. It comes in a foil like packet so it is easy to make small portions and mash potatoes help you fill full.
