Does anyone know of a chewable calcium citrate that isnt completely nasty? I've been taking the bariatric advantage ones but they are so gross. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Kerri

I got one from GNC that actually tastes good to me. It's in a big silver plastic container. I think it's the only one they sell.

I've just discovered Caltrate 600 Plus from a coworker (who had the surgery a few years ago). They taste pretty good. If you like Sweet Tarts, you'll probably like these (though they aren't as tart).

I think I saw those one's in the store. Unfortunately, they are calcium carbonate. I swear everything I have found that is chewable comes in calcium carbonate form but not calcium citrate. It's becoming annoying. Thanks for the tip anyways Kerri

Just curious.....why calcium citrate and not carbonate? Both our surgeon and the nutritionist told us to use the Viactiv chews to get the calcium in. I never heard a reason why we shouldn't use the calcium carbonate.

Ultra Plan brand at Hi-Health is good - citrus flavor and chewable. Does NOT cause constipation (says so on the label!)

Which BA flavor did you get? The mint ones are ok to me, they just taste like Rolaids to me. I'm curious, b/c i'm thinking about getting chocolate next time around. If it's nasty, let me know! I didn't find any calcium citrate chewables anywhere else. Michelle

I was taking the mint ones too. I just cant do them anymore because they taste yucky. Thanks to everyone else for the other suggestions. I'll try those to see if they are any better. Kerri

I actually have been using the Bariatric Advantage Calcium and like them. I bought both the Chocolate & the Cinnamon. I thing that I found it that I prefer to suck on them instead of chewing. I think they taste much better. Just a thought.
