Does any suffer w/IBS? Lactose problems?

How are your attacks after surgery?

I hear that some patients become lactose intolerant post-op.

I have IBS. Surgery on the 30th...no problems until yesterday. I had an IBS attack yesterday afternoon. It was painful while it lasted, but SOOOOOO much shorter than the attacks I had before surgery. I am still on liquid diet though, so this may change after I get bumped up to pureed. Lactose problems I had before, so I am sticking with Vanilla Silk rather than trying any milk products. Thanks for the information. I had to consult with a GI before getting the go ahead for surgery. Of course I'm a bit worried. I'm taking Lactaid, but I may tried Lactose product instead. Thanks Go luck to you.
