Today for luch I had a pintos and cheese from Taco Bell. I'm scare because I can eat or drink a cup of food at a time with no problem and not feel fool. I'm still on soft foods and will be for a few weeks. Iv'e lost 15 lbs so far, but I'm kind of freaking because I want to eat even though I'm not hungry. I never feel FULL though I just wont let myself overeat. I'm trying not to eat more than 1/2 a cup of anything at a time. Is anyone else feeling this way? How are you overcoming the head issues. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, and hope you all have a wonderful evening. Hugs, Jodi

Don't panic! A cup of liquids is not the same as a cup of SOLID food. Keep on with your rule of not eating more than a 1/2 cup at a time and you'll be fine!! I panicked too when I went to Wendy's a couple days ago and was able to eat more than 1/2 their chili in one sitting and I was like OMG! I've stretched out my pouch. But I haven't. I'm fine.

What are the signs that you have stretched out your pouch? Sometimes I can eat more than 1\2 c but when I look at the clock, I see that I had been eating for 1hr or more! Happy Saturday all. JK

I am the same way Jodi. I can eat a whole bowl of soup at one sitting. I agree with others that it must be the fact that it is liquid and not solid. This week I added tuna salad to my diet which is the most "solid" food I have tried and I can't eat hardly any of it. You'll notice the difference after your diet changes in a couple weeks. Keep up the good work! Chris S.

Hi Jodi, Most of what you are dealing with is head hunger. I know becaue I go through the same thing. I keep telling myself, you are not hungry. Then I envision my new pouch and picture how small it is. We are used to eating just to eat. Try to redirect yourself. I have been reading, walking. Sometimes I'll drink some milk. Also remember our feeling of full is different now. It's not like before when we got so stuffed and could barely move. Just stick to your 3 meals a day. My surgeon told me that it is not the pouch that stretches. It is where your new stomach connects to your intestines. This can stretch over time. The reason it may stretch is grazing. Eating too frequently and when you are not hungry. By doing that it will eventually allow food to pass through much faster and you will get hungry. I hope this helps. This is all so new to us. It's an entire new way of living. Stay positive, keep excercising, you will do great! Tracey
