Having trouble with liquids

I am having some trouble with my fluid intake. When the liquid hits my pouch, I feel like a cramping. I am trying to take smaller sips. Warm is better like tea but boy is it troublesome. I was okay two weeks ago but lately it is well lets say not enjoyable to drink. I think I will switch to tea (decaff of course) for a while. Last night I had two big cups to try and make up for the day. Anyone else having fluid troubles? Kelly

Hi Kelly, I go through daily sperts. Some days I have trouble with my fluids (same kind of stomach stuff) Other days it is the protein that seems to upset my stomach and other days I just can't eat at all! So, I guess for now, we do the best we can and not get upset with ourselves if we miss the goal of fluid or protein intake. I am having A LOT of trouble with my vitemans! They make me sick and I have been REALLY bad about getting them in! You are in my prayers for a successful journey! JK

Kelly, I havent had much problems with liquids but I have found that I have trouble eating sometimes. Even when I am really really good and do liquids instead of trying solids, I have the nausea feeling. I just kind of suck it up and hope it passes. I have not thrown up yet, but the nausea can really be bad. Even my protein shakes cause it some. I have heard that warm is better, cold and hot dont go down really easy, I just dont put ice in anything I drink so that helps. I have actually only been drinking water and crystal light. I havent tried anything except the protein shakes. good luck D'Lynn 232/229/218

I'm a bit over three weeks out and having trouble with everything that goes in (except sugar free popsicles and ice chips) I get a serious nauseous feeling and though I haven't been throwing up, I have spent a lot of time in the bathroom. I'm seeing my Dr. on Monday and I really hope he can do something for me. 297/273 -24 pounds
