On my state page, we post our daily food log and excercise. It helps to get me prepared for what I will eat during the day and keep me committed to the exercise. I was wondering if it might help here. So if you are interested you can begin to post. Thanks Kelly Great Idea! I am 9 days out of surgery and cannot have anything but clears until i see my surgeon on monday the 11th. but for now: B-4 oz sf jello L-4 oz onion soup broth S-sf ice pop D-4 oz wonton broth and hopefully all my fluids in between. I am having a hard time getting my fluids down, I went to my reg doctor yesterday and I have a throat infection that is sitting on my middle ear, it started from a problem with the intubation. Sheryl

Oh that sounds horrible. But you sound up beat which is wonderful. I hope otherwise you are doing well. Monday will be here before you know it and you'll be starting on soft foods, I imagine. No protein in there? My first two weeks I was on 6 oz/day of a protein shake. the soup broths counted as fluid. But oh well every doctor is different. See you tomorrow morning Kelly

It's so interesting reading everyone's different diets at similar stages post-op. It seems like the nutritionists can't agree on what works best. I am starting my second week on full liquids and this is what I had yesterday: B-Carnation Carb Smart Instant Breakfast with 8ox. 1% milk and a scoop of protein powder (33G) S-Sugar Free Fudgsicle (2G) L-1 c. Blended Minestrone soup made with 2% American cheese (6G) D-1 c. Blenderized Lentil soup with 2% American cheese (14 G) And lots and lots of water and Crystal Light. I didn't eat 2 other snacks yesterday. I had made some pudding with protein powder about a week ago but it was nasty, so I didn't eat it. :P

I was moved from the liquid diet to the mushy diet (cottage cheese, cremed soup, potatoe, cold cereal) Tuesday evening. My average day goes as this: B : Protein shake or SF drink with 20 g protein. no snack ever L: CIB Dinner: Protein shake (1/2 cup cottage cheese with salt/pepper) I did have about 1/2 cup of egg drop soup Tuesday night and the taste was great!
