So unhappy with my GBS
Thank you for your advice JK - I'm going to take it! Perhaps this is one reason why some surgeons require their patients to diet and lose weight before they have the surgery. I'm going to give up bread and sweets. I like your attitude and I hope that you continue to lose weight and reach your goal. I've heard some people say that it's easier to maintain weight after a slower weight loss, so perhaps this will be your compensation. I hope so. Dale
Angela,
I just read something on your profile page about your joy when a woman in your church got saved. As beautiful as that moment was, it was not an instantaneous miracle and we may never know how much pain that woman endured before she made this wonderful step "into the light."
There are countless posts of encourage ahead of mine. I won't repeat all of that, but I hope you listened to those in your same position and that you pray to see God's plan and purpose in this change of life for you.
You are still very early in the process, but I do think you can go into a restaurant someday soon and eat normal food -- not a lot of food -- but normal food. If you want to eat normal food, it is important that you try those sensible choices when you can and go through the readjustment period if they make you sick at first. Hopefully, only large quantities of sugar will be off for you. That is my prayer.
We have the gift of free will, but I truly believe there are no mistakes in God's plan and purpose for our lives. If you can find His will in the path you have taken, you will find peace and joy.
Seeking with you,
Frances
