I feel great. Surgery was...
I know it's hard, but please do not compare your progress with others. It will ONLY bring you down. It is "normal" to lose about 12-15 lbs in 2 weeks post-op, so you are in the normal range for women. You are not doing anything wrong. As long as you are losing, you are doing things right!! If you think something is wrong, call your surgeon. But please, do not compare your progress with others because all that will do is bring you down.
Case in point, I had just posted that I lost 14 lbs in a week after surgery, but then TWO other people posted that day that they were a week post-op and were like down 18 lbs and the other one 22 lbs, and here I thought I was rocking because I had lost 14 lbs in one week. LOL But whenI compared it with others, I got down . So don't do that. Look at you and ONLY you!!
SIX POUNDS IN ONE WEEK ROCKS!!
Wow! Congrats! That's awesome. You are off to a good start! Full liquid diet sucks too. LOL I was on clear liquids for 2 days adn the full liquids for almost 3 weeks and was ready to gag on that 2 weeks into it. I don't think I can have creamed soup again for a long, long, while.
Hang in there on the liquids. Don't rush phases. Follow dr orders. Keep up the good work!
Had my surgery March 30th too ... had complications and was held on clear liquids there ... discharged home, readmitted to another hospital due to complications and held on clear liquids (and their version ... no bariatric patient experience... of protein supplement). Home now, and totally exhausted (walk around, breathe hard, feel limp, sit down etc.). I'm trying to transistion to soft food slowly, and get my protein intake better, but I'm not doing well. Any advice?
Myra
oh ... down about 15lbs from pre-surgery weight right now.
