2 Weeks Post Op
Well this is my first post, so I will make it a positive one.
I was not nervous to go through with the surgery, because I knew it was the right thing for me to do. After the surgery was over, I was in pain but I got up and started moving around. My temperature was a little high, so they kept me for an extra day. Four days after the operation I left for home 21 pounds lighter.
Once home, I followed the eating plan to the letter (which is easy when you have no urge to eat). The problem I have is that bathroom scales only go to 330 lbs, so I am kinda "in the dark" about my weight until I go to the doctor's office. This past Friday (April 1st) I went in to see my family doctor. It had been exactly two weeks to the day of my surgery, and I had lost 44 pounds!
I NEVER expected to lose that much in such a short period of time, but I will not complain about the results. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the results so far, but I am really looking forward to the next few months!

I gained 15 pds... my hard headed surgeon REFUSED to give me LASIX and I almost drowned in fluid I was retaining..... Surgeons just dont listen... BTW I had Dr. Kim of North Richland Hills...... Thank GOd my PCP was able to see me on my way home from the hospital and recommend the correct dosage for the situation....
