3 1/2 Weeks Post Op
I was surprised that I did not have any pain. Only the infamous gas that I heard of. After my follow-up appt I the dr informed me to do each stage for about a week and I could start exercising. So I did now I am 26 lbs lighter and have lost inches (not sure how many). I can tell the difference in my clothing. The only struggle I am having is making sure that I get all of my protein intake. So the nutritionist told me about revival soy products and whey fruity. Has anyone tried these.
Also I would like to thank everyone who gave me support before my surgery.
This is my hardest part now introducing food back into my system.

good news Tracy I had the surgery on the 16th of March and I am down 20 pds...For some reason I am not happy about that I think its because I am going from my pre-op appointment which was on March 10th (231) and yesterday I weighed in at 211...I need to stop whinning.
Did your dr. say you can go to the gym??? I went to the gym yesterday and walked for 35 minutes......No weight lifting yet... I love my protein drink ( unjury) vanilla. I am on regular foods now and havent had a problem yet. Best of luck to you

Yes the dr. said I could start walking at my follow up appt. That was for a week then I joined the gym and I am tryin to go there 3-4 times a week. I will try the unjury. Can you buy that from the store or do you have to order that online. Congrats on your weight loss. I find that is is the hardest part of my journey so far. I weigh every morning and if I am still the same weight I try not to get discouraged. Everything takes time. But good luck.
I have the Whey Fruity protein powder and it is ok. Especially if you want a change from the protein shakes. When you mix it up, there are still sometimes small clumps and I don't like the foam it creates when I shake it up. My favorite protein shake so far is the Atkins Advantage Vanilla shake. It's not too bad. I lost 27 pounds in the first week and then when the weight stopped dropping off like that, I got mad. Now I am only weighing myself once a week and trying to forget about it. Last week I only lost 4 pounds and got mad again, so now I am trying to get in more liquids and protein and see what happens this week. Congratulations on your loss! You may want to consider putting away the scales for awhile so you don't go crazy! It also made it easier that I returned to work last week so I wasn't sitting around all day focusing on my weight loss. Good Luck!

Hey Janice, we are both 3\16 dates! Congratulations on an awesome loss! Just remember, when you are starting out a "light weight" you are not going to lose the same as those who have 150+ pds to lose. Keep up the great work! Maybe we can keep in touch as we are about the same # and same surgery date~Have a blessed day! JK
