I am regressing..or rebelling
I am 3+ weeks out and going for my diet advancement on Thursday. I was logging what I have eaten this weekend and noticing I am not getting in the proper fruits and veggies and just all around good food in like I should. Not to mention if it has to be pureed, I don't eat it. Yesterday I had an instant breakfast and milk for bf, ice cream (regular)and a bite of CAKE for lunch, then homemade (by my friend) onion soup with some swiss cheese sprinkled in it. I am supposed to be eating three meals and three healthy snacks. I just can't take the darned pureed crap anymore. On Friday I had some chicken, but did not puree it. I chewed well and it was ok. Tonight I had, okay don't kill me , but I had a half of slice of pizza!! Usually I puree it, this time I did not. My main fear is that I am hurting myself. I also find that if don't puree, I eat less. I just don't know what to do. Should I just keep on until Thursday when my sentence is lifted? Otherwise I do not know how to add the good stuff into my diet again. I swear if I have to look at another cup of applesauce or another smoothie I WILL go bolistic!

Do not rush advancing stages! I'm on pureed/soft foods stage too. Here are some ideas to hold you until Thursday -
~ Chicken or egg salad with melba toast or crackers
~ Chicken burrito - do not eat tortilla - eat only 1oz of chicken and chew well only 1 bite per minute
~ Deviled eggs
~ MOIST shrimp with ****tail sauce
~ Meatball from Subway meatball sub (don't eat bread) and chew meat good.
~ Taco Bell Refried Beans
~ String cheese
~ Wendy's Chili (check for body parts )
~ Wendy's baked potato
~ Boston Market - Creamed Spinach with crackers
~ KFC mashed potatoes & gravy
~ Baja Fresh - side order of black or refried beans

I am 3 weeks out today, had a lot of trouble with the "full" liquid stage and pureed stage, I found Wendys Chili to be a lifesaver! I cannot eat milk products since this surgery (which I love!) So the SF, FF Ice Cream I tried put me in Bed for 2 days...NEVER again! Anyway, Trish, thanks for some GREAT ideas. How many Calories should we be taking in? I am averaging 600-700 when I get 80 grams of protein and less when I eat less protein and I feel like I am WAY over doing it! but THANKS for the deviled egg idea! I love them and they are easy to eat. Do you know what the proein and cal count is? Thanks girls.....you've helped me tonight! JK
