I think i just pulled a muscsle sitting up out of bed instead of rolling out. It right next to my belly button. Anyone experienced this too? How long did it take to heal? any tip on what to do about the pain?

Do you have Lorotab or any other liquid pain meds surgeon gave you from hospital. That should help. If pain is unbearable and gets worse, I'd call your surgeon on-call. I've called my surgeon off-hours a few times since surgery and he or Dr. Juarez or the nurse call me right back within minutes. They are used to calls from post-ops so feel free to call if pain gets worse or you think something else may be wrong. But I think you are okay. Just take it easy and press a pillow against your tummy when you get up and down.

OUCH !!! I can SO relate.... I had OPEN RNY, but if it werent for the pain in my back and sides... Id have no pain at all..... The effects of trying to get up and around after surgery have the muscles in my left side and back all tight and strained, maybe inflamed. And Pain meds make me sick on the tummy..... I agree with Trish... if the pain persists... call your doc.... One thing that has helped me with the side & back pain is an ice pack.... soothed the inflamation and I also have a TENS unit... got it at Chiropractors for 50 bucks.. good investment.... Take it easy..... getting up and down... good luck

I have the same pain. The doctor told me that it might be gas or inside stuff falling back into place. Since they had to move stuff around. If you are real worried talk to your doctor.
