Home at last

WEll, i have finally gotten home. Surgery was Monday and a ll went amazingly well. I could have come home yesterday, but the Doc said NO. I am walking alot already and feel pretty good. I am sleepy no rest in the hospital. Hubby got bad new today. Our surgeon told my husband that he will not be his doctor, due to personal conflict. We are so upset and now he may not meet our dead line and may have to start this process all over for him. Im pooped, will chat more later. Thanks again for all the encouragemet~~~

Yay!! GLad you are home and doing well! Rest up . But remember to walk, walk, walk! Why wouldn't the surgeon be your husband's surgeon? That sucks. He won't necessarily need to start the process over. Just depends on how soon he can get in to see another surgeon. Sorry about that news. I don't understand why it's not okay for your surgeon to be your husband's surgeon. Oh well...everything happens for a reason, so just keep on trucking. Glad you are home and that surgery went well.

Hi Trisha It's so good to be home. The surgeon is pissed at hubby because while waiting 3 1/2 hours for me to be removed from recovery, my husband demanded to just look at me as he was very afraid I was not doing well. As a result of my husband's strong assertive personality.. the Doctor is pissed. The kicker for us is that at the end of June, we change insurance companies and the new insurance will make us start over and requires a one year diet prior to surgery. So this blow will set us back at least 12 months. I will call the surgeons office monday and try to negociate with him. (sigh) I was informed of all of this as I was receiving my instructions for going home this morning... so we are both very discouraged. Ya'll please pray for FAVOR with the surgeon!!! Thanks again to everyone who has held me up in prayer.

Harolyn!!! SO glad to see you are posting again! I was beginning to worry that you were already out on your motorcycle! I'm doing mostly ok at home. Hi JULIE !!!! Thanks for the kind words. And YES !!! come get this surgeon for me would you??? He's a pompus ass alright. As for the bath, sounds good, but I have 33 staples in my big ole tummy, so water sports have to wait. Showers only!!!! This Friday I will go get the drain and staples removed. I am sorry you have to be on oxygen at night, but maybe it will be just temporary. Thnaks again for the positive feedback. Chat more later.... love and hugs .... H.
