Thanks for the update on Angela. Glad she is alive! Open RNY is painful. But pain is temporary. I heard before surgery that it is VERY common to regret surgery while you are in hospital. I didn't, but was expecting to. I know other people have, but it's like having a baby they say - it's the worst pain ever, but you have a beautiful baby and you forget all about the pain or at least know the pain was worth it. I agree that she'll change her mind down the line and know it was worth it. Glad she is doing okay and soon she won't be in pain anymore. Here's her surgery page where people can post a note if they like: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/status.phtml?N=R1094053365

Glad to hear she's okay.. Sorry to hear she's in pain and miserable. Angela and I are surgery sisters.. I , too had an open rny on March 24th. I'm doing very well. Only regret not doing this sooner. Vivian

I am now a week out, and I have been regretting having the surgery every day. I'm glad to hear it's a normal feeling and will pass. Glad to hear Angela's feeling better.
