How do you categorize s/f pudding when you are on pureed foods? Does it count as a fluid since it's listed under milk, or does it count on the food side. If it does, when can you eat it? I know the s/f jello is a fluid. Thanks...

Thats a great Question, since I have basically heard that stage 2 is considered all liquids, meaning it all goes right through us...I have yet to figure out what should be considered a meal and what a snack and a drink...LOL....

I am not sure what it is considered, but I can tell you that I am two weeks post-op and I have tried the jello- s/f pudding and I havent had any problems handling it! Bonnie

Hi there Susie...Every Doctor seems to have slightly different program. I was on Clear Liquids for only 2 days and then moved to Full Fluid diet for 2 weeks. This included s/f pudding along with cream soups & low fat milk products. I have just move on to purees...yummy!! I think we had the same surgery date!! How are you doing? I had my first post op appointment and am down 20 lbs!! can't complain!! Stacey

Hey, we did have the same date! I'm down 21 lbs. and have been holding there three days. Today I did the most activity around the house...cleaning out an antique desk, laundry, walking, running errands...actually more activity than before the surgery! How are you doing with the purees? I had baby food turkey with squash tonight. Wasn't bad, but it is so thin, that not much stays with you. I think oatmeal stays around the best. When do you go back? I don't go until April 29th. Susie

Ok everyone I am jealous here..I had the surgery on March 16th and I am down 18pds. (since pre-op) on March 10th.....Are you guys saying from the day of surgery or pre-op date??? at pre-op I weighed 231 and the day of surgery I weighed in at 226.5 pds. I know every scale is different..... I was on clear fluids for 1 week and then on to pureed foods for 1 week and now starting thursday I am on softfoods for 1 week and then I`m not sure. Well I am still happy for everyone here Best of luck... Janice 2 weeks post-op -18pds.

Janice, I am counting as when I went in right before surgery. It looks like we all are in the same ballpark, so I'm going to quit worrying about not losing too fast. Whenever I dieted I would lose weight in clumps, never a pound at a time, so maybe that's what I'm doing now. I'm just over two weeks (3/15) and down 21 lbs. Your diet is fast! I'm on pureed foods for a month, then soft foods for 2-3 months! It will be July before I am eating regular food! Susie
