I can't believe it so far. No pain whatsoever, I have lost nearly 10 pounds this first week and 18 total. everytime I get on the scale, I weigh less. I think I need to stop weighing so much. I am still on clear liquids until I see the surgeon again on Fri. Thanks everyone for your support and prayers Mikey RN

Great news It gets easier everyday, I am just about ready for soft foods now...... I know I told myself that I would not get on the scale every minute and of course I have.. At pre-op I was 231 day of surgery 226.5 and today I weighed in at 214 pds....But for some reason am not that happy about it, I just think that I should be down 30 pds.....(go figure). I know I didint put this weight on over night. Best of luck to you. Janice 13 days post-op

I have been having trouble with hunger. I have even been dreaming about food. I am trying to stay focused., I think when I can actually start having real food I will do better. Sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the good work! Mikey RN

Mikey, You are doing great! I'm two weeks post-op and holding at 21 lbs. for the past three days. I vow and declare I'm staying off the scales and lo and behold the next morning...I step on them! I have been on pureed foods for almost a week and will continue to be on those for three more weeks. It's not too bad. I couldn't finish a scrambled egg w/cheese this morning. I'm trying tuna for lunch. Can you have milk? Milk has satisfied me when nothing else did. Have you tried the Carnation Instant b'fast s/f? Susie

Congratulations Mikey! I am glad to know that you are doing well. Isn't Dr. Zorn the greatest? I, like you had virtually no pain after I left the hospital and as a matter of fact didn't have much pain in the hospital so I didn't use my morphine pump after the first day. Congratulations on your loss so far! ~Summer~ 17 days post-op -24 pounds
